Actress Esha Deol today got engaged to businessman Bharat Takhtani at her mother, Hema Malini's Juhu residence. The ceremony was a small gathering of close family and friends and the Deol family couldn't be happier. Esha playfully flashed her engagement ring to the waiting photographers as the couple stepped out and posed for pictures for them. Esha and Bharat have been dating for a while now and it was just a matter of time before they made it official. The wedding will be a grand affair, once they set a date.

The 22-year-old actor takes on the role of Arthur Kipps in the Victorian horror thriller, which centers a young lawyer traveling to a remote village where he discovers the ghost of a scorned woman is terrorizing the locals.

“I think we were all just blown away by [Daniel's] performance. I think that’s going to be pretty exciting for his fans,” screenwriter Jane Goldman told MTV News.

“In a sense, with the last few years of Potter, he was playing younger than he is.

He is a young man, but he also threw himself totally into this [Woman in Black] role, and the fact that he’s so believable as a widower and as a father [is impressive]. I found it incredibly exciting seeing Dan playing such a mature role,” she added.

Kate Moss will be cleaning up her rebellious image in the coming months with clothing retailer Mango. The megamodel has signed on to be the new face of their spring/summer campaign.

Kate's hard-partying image makes her a surprising choice for the brand's traditionally squeaky-clean message. A Mango spokeswoman addressed the supermodel's reputation head-on while speaking with WWD.

“She had a turbulent past, which she has put behind her to continue being a supermodel, and has recently married and become a mother," she said. "After two decades appearing on catwalks worldwide, she has demonstrated that she is the top model par excellence.”

Kate is certainly no stranger to high-profile campaigns, notably serving as the face Calvin Klein, Topshop and Versace. For her part, Moss says she's “really excited" about the new job, which will feature photos by fellow fashion world rebel, Terry Richardson. We can't wait to see the results.

Hot momma of two Hudson has been tapped as the new face of the popular clothing retailer for its upcoming spring 2012 campaign, set to launch in February. Kate told WWD that “as a young girl, I looked up to the sophisticated style of Ann Taylor. So it’s been very cool to see how the brand has evolved to meet the changing needs of modern women.”

The mystery girl behind the wet white sheet in the "Jism 2" poster has finally been unveiled. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt confirmed Thursday that the leading lady of the movie is Indian Canadian porn star Sunny Leone.

 "Sunny Leone is the heroine of Pooja Bhatt's 'JISM 2'. Now watch this brave girl unfold her soul and rise higher and higher, " Bhatt wrote on his Twitter page.

 Leone came to the limelight in India with her stint in the fifth season of controversial reality show "Bigg Boss". She was offered a role in the movie when Bhatt entered the show briefly to meet her. But the nature of her role was kept under wraps so far.

 Leone is upbeat about bagging the lead role.

 While Sunny plays the female lead, the film will have two male protagonists and Bhatt's actress-turned-filmmaker daughter Pooja, the producer of "Jism 2" is in a dilemma over whom to sign.

 "While my dream that is #JISM2 comes closer to realization with @sunnyleone my nightmare with regards to casting my two leading men begins, " Pooja posted.

 "Finding one 'man' in this business is tough enough and we need to cast two in #JISM2! I suspect strongly that it is masochism that drives me, " she added.

 Sunny's entry into the "Bigg Boss 5" created a quite a stir, with the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) reportedly asking the Colors channel to ensure that Leone does not use the show to her advantage.

The wait is over: Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby has arrived! As was rumored, it's a GIRL! What's totally unexpected? Her name! However, Beyonce's BFF Gwyneth Paltrow seemed to have cleared up any misconceptions on Twitter today. "Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already," she posted Sunday morning. She then replied to a tweet from someone asking the correct order of the name, writing: "It's Blue Ivy Carter!"Before any of you say, "BLUE?! I've never heard of such a crazy name" it's actually not that unusual, especially in the celeb world. The color name was given by Cher to her son, Elijah Blue, back in the '70s and it's been used ever since, including by Alicia Silverstone, mom to Bear Blu, just last year. U2's The Edge and Maria Bello are also among the stars who gave their kiddos the name.

Celebs are aTwitter about Baby Carter. In addition to Gwyneth's posts, everyone from "Aunty Rih" (that's Rihanna to you and me) to Russell Simmons have tweeted well wishes, and Beyonce's little sister Solange gushed: "The most beautiful girl in the world."

I'll throw in my own, too: Whether the baby's name is Blue or Bova, I'm just so excited for the under-the-radar, long-time couple, who had to deal with what I'm sure were annoying fake pregnancy rumors throughout what is supposed to be a happy time. And I can't wait to see the first pix of the baby...wonder if she'll be wearing mini gold shoes to match her mom.

 After patiently waiting in the sidelines for her Bollywood debut for quite a while now, Angela Jonson has now landed an exclusive deal with Salman Khan's home production.

 The Kingfisher calendar model will not only now star in Sher Khan, she will also star in the sequel of Partner and the remake of Amar Akbar Anthony, that will feature all the three Khan brothers Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail, both slated for 2013.

 Says our source, "Angela's career in Bollywood wasn't taking off. But Salman and Sohail saw her potential and offered her an exclusive contract before she made the wrong career moves.

 Now she will be eligible for all of Salman's home productions, though they don't necessarily have to sign her for every film they make."

Confirming this, Sohail says, "Yes she has signed an exclusive contract with us. But we haven't decided which film or films she will be doing. We think she has great potential. We will launch her."

 Earlier there was buzz that adult-content actress Sunny Leone would be starring in Sher Khan.

However, the Khan brothers are said to have dropped Sunny after they came to know that the Bhatts were looking to sign her.

 Our source points out, "Besides, Sher Khan is designed for Salman's young fans. An adult actress didn't quite fit the bill."

Katrina Kaif has scored the first big showbiz coup of 2012 - she's bagged the coveted role opposite legendary actor Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan, being directed by his daughter, Soundarya Ashwin.

 Soundarya confirms the news saying, "Yes, we are indeed in talks with Katrina and we will let you know soon." The schedules and date are being adjusted and negotiated.

Kochadaiyaan, an epic love story of a king who is a devotee of Lord Shiva, will be shot in 3D. Katrina is currently busy shooting for Yashraj production along with Shah Rukh Khan but has assured to do this film and give her dates. The first look of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ will be unveiled in the third week of January. Rajinikanth will sport long flowing tresses for the part.

 The music has been composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman who has reportedly signed 130 musicians from Germany to record the background score for the film. Most portions of the film have already been shot and once Katrina wraps up Yash Chopra's next opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she will be ready to work with this "Rana" for the first time!

 Speaking of Rana, Deepika Padukone was slated to star opposite Rajinikanth in this period drama, which has been postponed repeatedly due to the superstar's illness and long convalescence. Some reports say the work on the film will now resume after Kochadaiyaan.

The most anticipated film has finally kicked off with a small pooja amidst the cast and crew. Yash Raj Films’ most-anticipated and ambitious film, a love story by the king of romance drama, 75-year-old Yash Chopra, has finally taken off with a small ceremonial pooja at their plush studios in Mumbai today. Chopra’s younger son, Uday Chopra, who usually assists him on the sets, confirmed the film’s launch on Twitter.

He tweeted: “Launching my dad’s film today with a little pooja at YRF… shoot starts tomorrow with Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Dad directing after Veer- Zaara (sic).” Meanwhile, the film’s lead, SRK who has worked with senior Chopra in Darr, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Veer-Zaara tweeted after the film launch: “Feel extremely happy when I start work with Yashji…from the inside.

Easy… smiles… happiness… purity of storytelling.” Well, we hope the pleasure of working again with the thespian filmmaker does bring happiness in SRK’s career which has been going through a rough patch due to the mixed responses to both his recent releases: RA.One and Don 2. Anyway, apart from Katrina, YRF’s fave girl, Anushka Sharma, plays a consequential part in the film.

Looks like Katy Perry isn't ready to be back in the spotlight quite yet. The singer -- who's nominated for seven honors -- announced via Twitter on Monday night that she would not be attending Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards, tweeting,
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS." No further explanation was given, but I'm sure her recent split had a little something to do with it.

This was to be Perry's first public appearance since Russell Brand filed for a divorce. So the only question that remains is, now that Perry's no longer going, can Russell get his invite back?

First she opted for a glamorous role in "Desi Boyz" and then she gave a nod to an item number.

 Actress Chitrangada Singh, otherwise known for serious roles, surprised all and sundry last year and says the response has been encouraging.

 "I really hope 2012 turns out to be a year full of surprises for me, and surprises spring after one another.

 I am really happy with the kind of response I received for my work in 'Desi Boyz'. It was really encouraging and I am looking forward to more good work this year, " Chitrangada told.

 The dusky beauty, who will be seen on an upcoming episode of UTV Stars' "Superstar Santa", made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi", and was subsequently seen in films like "Sorry Bhai!", "Basra" and "Yeh Saali Zindagi".

 "Desi Boyz", which also featured Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, was a radically different project for her. Nevertheless, she loved it, and the audience loved her in it too.

 No wonder she feels her fans will appreciate her item song in Shirish Kunder's 3D project "Joker".

 "The item song was hard, we rehearsed for it a lot and it has turned out to be fabulous. It is not into-the-face, the music is very catchy and the choreography by Farah (Khan) is very sensuous. It was great fun doing it, " said the 35-year-old.

 In 2012, she is looking forward to "I, Me Aur Main" with John, and Sudhir Mishra's film with Arjun Rampal.

 "'I, Me Aur Main' is going to be a great film. John is fantastic in it. It is an emotional, yet comedy film about a man, his relationships, his busy life in a metro city...it's basically about men. The film was a lot of fun and has a lot of drama, " she said of the movie, expected to release within the first quarter of the year.

 "Sudhir's film is about sexual harassment, it is about a woman's ambition in the workplace and how that is curbed...so it's an interesting script, and I am extremely excited about it, " she added.

 In the meantime, she has had to turn down an offer to work with Kamal Haasan, who had reportedly contacted her for a role in his Hindi-Tamil bi-lingual "Vishwaroopam". But she had to refuse as the dates clashed with those she kept aside for Mishra's film.

 "I had to refuse the offer. I would love to work with him (Kamal), he is a legend to work with, " said the actress.

 On the small screen, Chitrangada says she loved playing Santa for a bit, on the show "Superstar Santa", where celebrities play peacemakers between two common people.

 "Santa is too big a role to play. But it's always nice when as celebrities, we can do something for common people, " she said.

Bollywood couple Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have been blessed with a son, who was born through IVF to a surrogate mother at a private clinic in Mumbai Dec 1.

 Aamir and Kiran confirmed the news, saying: "It gives us the greatest joy to share with you the good news of the birth of our baby boy. This baby is especially dear to us because he was born to us after a long wait and some difficulty."

 This is Kiran Rao's first baby, while Aamir has a son, Junaid, and a daughter, Ira, from his first wife Reena. Aamir ended his 15- year-old marriage to Reena in 2002.

 During the filming of Ashutosh Gowariker's "Lagaan", Aamir met assistant director Kiran, and they fell in love and tied the knot in 2005.

 In 2009, Kiran got pregnant, but she had a miscarriage. But now the couple is happy.

 Kiran and Aamir said that due to medical complications, "we were advised to have a baby through IVF - surrogacy, and we feel very grateful to the Almighty that all has gone well.

We are humbled by the greatness of god, the miracles of science, and the kindness and love of our families and friends in being there for us while respecting our privacy."
