Deepika Padukone: Ranbir Kapoor will always be special to me

Published at 5:03 AM in ,

After the success of Desi Boyz, Deepika Padukone is kicked about her next assignment with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor. And as we wonder how awkward would it be for the two of them while shooting, the sexy babe clears the air by saying that there’s no room for discomfort in their relationship anymore

Deepika Padukone began her Bollywood career with a bang in Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. She continues to make news, as her latest film Desi Boyz mints money at the box office. Nothing has kept the the babelicious actor on a low, be it a bad film or an unsuccessful relationship till now. Dips claims that the success of Desi Boyz belongs mainly to debutante director Rohit Dhawan.

Despite the fact that it’s a male centric film, Deepika explains that without the women the film would have lost its spicy flavour. Post Desi Boyz, the actor will be busy filming with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor. Now wouldn’t that be a little bit awkward? Well not really as Dips says that she and Ranbir are in a very friendly space at the moment. And no matter what, Ranbir will always be special to her for the person he is. Looks like the sexy babe has clearly moved on and left those bitter memories behind somewhere in the chaotic lanes of B-town.

We also thought that after the Koffee With Karan episode, the two wouldn’t bother to come face to face again. But given the fact that Bollywood actors are a tad unpredictable, the next thing we see is these two ex-lovers are all set to share screen space with each other. Amidst all this, Ms Padukone’s current bf Siddhartha Mallya seems to be quite unaffected with the friendly reunion.

Ms Padukone has a lot in her kitty at the moment, Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Race 2 and Homi Adajania’s Cocktail. We are sure she needs all the good luck, for her films and for working with her ex-beau

Published at 3:41 AM in ,

Wants to Act with Himesh to return the favour
Now this is a wish of only a few heroines for sure and if one is an established actress then it appears all the more a ‘vague wish’ for sure. Well, without any perplexity let us tell you about the wish of Deepika Padukone which appears rather bizarre. No she is not wishing to work with Aamir Khan or Salman Khan, well she wants to act with Himesh Reshammiya!
Well if you are thinking why so, then let us tell you that on a chat show she has declared that she won’t think twice before working with Himesh and even gives her career’s success to him only. Dancing in Himesh’s Naam hai tera was Deepika’s first stint with music videos, after which Farah Khan gave her the perfect launch with Om Shanti Om. So she just wants to return the favour to Himesh. Hah..good enough to know Deeps because in an industry where only a few people are ready to return the favours lest even remember the favour, it is really good to hear this from you.

Published at 12:45 AM in ,

This week Deepika Padukone is on "Our Featured Pics"section owing to her hot flawless body which is just the perfect one can catch hold off.
She shares her some secrets here:
Drop-dead gorgeous looks, a sizzling figure and some decent bit of acting: that's Deepika Padukone.
While women envy her perfect, hour-glass figure, men desire her and get inspired to reach her fitness level. But this frame didn't come easy. Deepika has had her share of sweat and rigour which has visibly paid-off well.

Deepika's Workout Regime

Though not a gym-addict, Deepika keeps hitting the gym frequently. “I go to the gym whenever I can. When I am travelling, I do make it a point to work out in the hotel gym,” says Deepika. Her typical workout routine is a fine mix of cardio and weight training, which Deepika believes is helpful in “losing/maintaining weight and toning up the body.”

Deepika has incorporated yoga into her daily fitness regimen. She maintains that yoga helps in revitalizing the mind and soul and turns out to be a great workout. On days, she is unable to go to the gym, she goes for walks, which she says are great cardio exercises. “If I can't go to the gym, I walk twice a day, half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening,” declares Deepika.

Deepika's Diet Routine

When it comes to food, Deepika has no qualms about it. She's a self-confessed foodie and loves gorging on delicacies. For her, starvations are a strict no-no. But she eats with responsibility. On days, she has binged on good food, she makes sure that she does an appropriate amount of workout. “Only diet or only exercise won't help in overall body weight loss. You have to combine the two” she explains.

Deepika's breakfast is chiefly composed of South Indian stuff - upma, idli, dosa etc. She may include paranthas at times.During shoots, she sticks to “ghar ka khana”: the regular dal, chapati, rice, salad and subzi. If the food is from the studio, Deepika prefers going for idlis as they are light. Deepika has a thing for rice and doesn't let go of it like many others following a fitness regime. She says that her body is used to it. Snacks for Deepika are mainly fruits like grapes, mangoes and her all-time favourite coconut water. For dinner, she keeps it light. No rice and no non-veg food. She normally goes for porridge with pickle and homemade dal and steamed subzi.

Deepika's Fitness Tips

Fitness does not tantamount to being skinny or slim. One should be healthy from inside too.

Combine exercise and diet. Just one of the two things is not enough.

Incorporate sports like badminton in your fitness regime.

It's a misconception that doing weights make you bulky.
